Rebar also known as reinforcing bar or reinforcement steel is commonly used to strengthen or reinforce concrete under tension. Rebar aids in increasing the tensile strength of a structure. Rebar’s surface are often ribbed to aid concrete bonding and reduce risk or slippage.
